Are you tired of making video after video, but not getting the engagement you were hoping for? I’m gonna show you how to get that engagement and make the most out of every video you post.
Do you see what I just did there? That’s called a hook. I caught your attention by stating a problem that you’re having and then teased you with a possible solution. That’s exactly what you need to do to get more engagement with your audience.
Are you starting off your videos by saying who you are and where you’re from? “Hi, it’s Johnny Mo here, from X Real Estate Company.” That’s the most common mistake that agents make. The truth of the matter is, nobody cares. I hate to break that to you, but it’s true. Instead of starting the video out with your introduction, start it out by saying what your audience wants to hear. Name their pain points, and then tell them that you’re going to help solve them.
Some great examples would be:
“Are you frustrated because you keep losing out on the bidding wars and all you want to do is get a house for yourself or your family? I'm Johnny Mo with XYZ Real Estate Company, and I'm gonna give you three pointers that can help your offer stand out now.”
“Are you getting ready to sell your house, but have no idea which things you should do to get the best return on your investment? Not all renovations are created equally. I’m Johnny Mo with X Real Estate Company, and I’m here with the owner of ABC Local Construction Company. He’s here to give us the inside scoop about the 5 most cost-effective and popular updates you should make to your home, so you can avoid the money pits and get the most bang for your buck when you sell.”
The bottom line is, people, want to watch things that will benefit them in some way. If you start right off telling them why listening to you will do just that, then you’ll have their attention.
Make this one change to your videos and you'll finally catch the attention of your audience.
I'm Johnny Mo. I'm out.
